Almost Christmas!

We went to go see Santa Clause with Jayden and Maycie this year- it was FUN!

As you can tell - Taylor is having a GREAT time.

The girls didn't really want anything to do with Santa when we were taking pictures..but as soon as we all leave to go look at what pictures they took - they were chatting it up with Santa.

Birthday Celebration

He wasn't too sure about the cake and didn't really "dig" in.

He tried his best to not get too dirty.

Then we opened up presents, which he didn't really care about. He enjoyed the wrapping paper and then he put this bag over his head. He was having fun playing peek-a-boo with Uncle Mat.

We had a great first birthday party. I just can't believe my little guy is already ONE! The years seem to go by faster and faster. We love you Taylor and hope you enjoyed your first birthday party.

1st day of dance lessons

Micaela's first Dance Lesson was quite the trip. She has a friend in the class as well, Mara..but as soon as we got there she started crying and saying she didn't want to dance (??? WHAT??) She LOVES to dance. I say ok then don't, just sit here and watch everyone else have fun. So she did. She sat like this for about 20 min (the class is 45 min long). FINALLY she got brave enough and went out there with the kids (with mommies help) and had a BLAST!

Even Taylor had a great time :)

Fastest Zoo Trip

We went to the zoo because there is a new baby elephant. Micaela was very excited, we got there and blew past the monkeys, even though Taylor thought they were pretty neat and was talking to them..."mom, lets go see the elephants." So, off we went to the elephants. The baby elephant was soo cute, Micaela watched her for about a minute and said ok lets go see the giraffes. I tried to get her to stay there to watch the baby elephant, because she was just too dang cute..but no. So off we went...and blew past the rhinos, apes, bears, zebras and stopped by the Penguins. They weren't in their exhibit, where they usually are, so we walked around back. They were locked up in back and you could see them through a glass window. We did stay there for a while watching them and then as we walked away she said "I think they are sad." I said "sad, why?" and she said "because they are locked up in there." Now, I do agree with her, but she has never said anything about the other animals.

Off to the giraffes, and there is a baby giraffe which is darling..we did stay there long enough for Taylor to talk to the giraffes, he thought they were pretty neat. And then off we went to the carousel (blew past the tigers and baby tigers). After that she was focused on going to the playground..I asked what about the other animals and she said no I want to go down the slide. I was so shocked...this zoo trip lasted ONE hour!

Watch Out!

Taylor is 11 months old and he is WALKING!! I can not believe it, my baby has grown up so much in the past week. He is walking and he also loves to go up and down the stairs, he even understands that he needs to go down backwards (but still does the occasional turn around, freak you out move).

And he is SOO proud of himself!

Had to share...

Micaela does like to play with Taylor...on her terms. Most of the day she is playing in her room, with the door shut, so that Taylor can't come in and play with her toys - "because he gets them slobbery". But when she does play with him it is very cute, but she treats him like a dog almost. She makes him fetch (and when she does this..she throws an item and then they both crawl after it, which she is faster and then gets the object and throws it again), I also caught her telling him to sit (which he did) and then after a minute she said, ok come with me (and he did!), and lastly they play chase. She crawls and says "come get me Taylor" and they go round in circles like this for a while.

Needless to say, I am looking forward to Taylor walking so that he can give her a taste of her own medicine :)

Zoo trip- with FRIENDS!!!

We went to the Zoo with Nicki, Kristian and Stefanie and Mason - the kids had a great time together.

And so did Taylor- but he is usually always smiling.

Our Glacier Trip

Micaela and Taylor had such a great time with the Ewings and the Smalls ~ this was the first time vacationing with both and we had a BLAST! We went on hikes and saw a lot of animals. Micaela was pretty good on the hikes and walked quite a bit herself, and then rode on her daddys shoulders the rest of the time. Taylor liked the scenery and enjoyed being in the pack to take it all in.

Swim lessons - week one

I thought it was about time for Micaela to learn how to swim. We got there, and she was all excited. She got in with her class which includes two little girls her age. Micaela wouldn't let the teacher touch her at all - not hold hands- NOTHING. They played ring around the rosie and she insisted on doing it all by herself. Towards the end of the lesson the teacher took them in the deep end and was trying to get them to lay their heads on her shoulder and "take a nap". The other two girls did this with no problem...not Micaela...she was screaming and crying saying she wanted her mommy. That ended the lesson. The next day she was just fine sitting on the edge of the pool - and watching the other kids have fun in the pool. On the third day I was finally able to talk her into getting in and having fun - she didn't have to "learn" how to swim. She is SUCH A GIRL, and very stubborn.

The new addition to our family

Baby Meredith Weiner~she's a small little thing. She came into the world on July 16 weighing 5lb 9oz and 18" long. She is very sweet and Micaela LOVES holding her.
